Housing Finance Company Limited invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the above position.
Responsible to: Financial Controller (Head of Finance)
Purpose of the post: To oversee loan operations accounting, financial reporting and treasury functions, ensuring accurate loan processing, HSS refunds, journal postings, bank reconciliations, regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), IFRS compliance and strong internal financial controls.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities Include
- Oversee loan operations accounting, including loan disbursements, repayments, schedules, HSS refunds and related journal vouchers.
- Prepare and review financial reporting, general ledger and treasury journal vouchers, including month-end and year-end adjustments.
- Maintain fixed asset and intangible asset registers and support monthly management accounts, quarterly reports, annual financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, monitor daily cash positions and recommend fund movements where necessary.
- Prepare and review CBS, IFRS 9, CIS/CR and statutory returns for submission through the Financial Controller.
- Verify invoices and payment vouchers, supervise payroll and staff loan administration, support audits and maintain strong financial controls.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field plus five (5) years’ relevant experience, preferably within a financial institution; or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field plus seven (7) years’ relevant experience; or ACCA/CIMA/CA completed or finalist, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Management certification is required where the incumbent supervises a division, section or unit.
- Strong knowledge of loan accounting, financial reporting, regulatory returns, treasury, reconciliations, leadership and internal controls is required.
