Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual to join our Corporate Service Provider as Compliance Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the effective implementation of the Company’s compliance framework, internal compliance policies, procedures and controls, and ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable Seychelles legislation, regulations, regulatory guidance, directives, and requirements as prescribed by relevant supervisory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, maintain and monitor the Company’s compliance framework, policies, procedures and controls in accordance with applicable Seychelles laws, regulations and regulatory guidance.
- Oversee KYC, CDD and EDD processes, ensuring clients provide and maintain all requisite identification, beneficial ownership, source of funds/source of wealth and other documentation as required by law.
- Conduct and oversee client risk assessments, ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews, with appropriate escalation of higher-risk clients and transactions.
- Identify, assess, escalate and report AML/CFT risks, suspicious transactions, regulatory breaches and compliance deficiencies, and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Review internal suspicious activity reports and, where required, ensure timely submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit.
- Conduct periodic compliance monitoring and testing, identify deficiencies and follow up on corrective and remedial actions.
- Maintain accurate and secure AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, compliance and regulatory records and ensure statutory record-retention requirements are met.
- Prepare compliance reports and provide regular updates to senior management and/or the Board on compliance matters, risks, breaches and remedial actions.
- Assist with regulatory inspections, examinations, information requests and reporting obligations.
- Provide and coordinate AML/CFT and compliance training for staff and promote a strong culture of regulatory compliance.
- Monitor changes in applicable legislation, regulations and regulatory guidance and ensure that relevant requirements are implemented within the Company.
- Perform the Compliance Officer function with appropriate independence, integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- At least two (2) years’ experience in anti-money laundering (AML) or compliance-related functions within the four (4) years immediately preceding the date of application.
- A BSc or BA in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field deemed suitable by the FSA, OR a professional certification in Compliance or AML from an internationally accredited institution, such as CAMS or ICA.
- Knowledge of relevant AML/CFT, Beneficial Ownership and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with relevant industry practices and professional standards.
- Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, sound judgement and regulatory liaison skills.
- Experience in corporate/fiduciary services, financial services, banking, legal services or another regulated environment.

The successful candidate must satisfy the fit and proper requirements as prescribed for under relevant legislations and assessed by the Financial Services Authority.
