Job Description
The main purpose of the role is to provide advice and resolution relating to regulatory, compliance and risk issues.
Summary of Main Roles
- Handle the management and execution of second line monitoring and assessment program for regulatory compliance.
- Improve and maintain AML/CTF policies and procedures and help with identifying any AML/CTF loopholes and coordinating projects to bridge those gaps.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) at the request of the FIU and other regulators.
- Provide oversight to the operational team, which acts as the first line monitors and investigators of suspicious activity and ensure a detailed and prompt investigation of all AML/CTF incidents and cases.
- Develop and implement risk-assessment models, methodologies and processes to monitor validity of risk modeling output.
- Conduct discussions with heads of departments and divisions to support the managers in the interpretation and communication of all risk, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Report to the Board Committee regularly an all matters regarding the risk function and compliance to statutory requirements.
- Working closely with the legal counsel to provide expert and strategic legal advice to management and the board of directors.
- Regularly review insurance policies and contracts to minimize exposures.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in law or Compliance or Risk Management or Audit.
- ICA Certificate in Compliance.
- At least 5 years’ experience.
Key Competencies
- Extensive knowledge in compliance and risk
- Knowledge of Seychelles laws and the Insurance Act in particular
- Ability to advance and protect the interests of Sacos and subsidiaries
