Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

1. Contact debtors via phone, email, and letters to collect outstanding payments and negotiate payment plans.
2. Review accounts to identify debtors and determine the status of debts, prepare reports, and track recovery progress.
3. Handle customer queries and disputes regarding debt, working to resolve issues amicably.
4. Ensure all collection activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining ethical standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of communications, payment arrangements, and other relevant information in the company’s database.
6. Work closely with other departments to facilitate debt recovery and improve overall customer relations.
7. Prepare regular reports on collection activities, including successes and challenges, for management review.
8. Identify opportunities for improving collection processes and contribute to the development of best practices.
9. Perform any other duties as requested by the Line Manager relevant to the position.

Job Requirements

Entry Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in debt collection, finance, or a related role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collection software.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
