Job Description
Summary of the duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew
- Ensure safety of the vessel
- Conduct bridge watches
- Assist with deck work or engine room work as assigned to you by the captain
- Sound knowledge in the position and location of safety gear, oxygen, fire extinguishers, firefighting gear and first aid
- Attends monthly fire drills, safety and first aid exercise
- Inform officer/captain immediately of any injury or sickness of crew or passengers on board
- Attend to passengers’ needs (customer relation)
- To perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
Minimum job entry requirements
- Completion of Secondary Level of Education
- Plus, one-year successful relevant work experience
- Completion of personal safety and social responsibilities with personal survival technique course
- Fire Fighting, Health and Safety on board ship training
- First Aid at sea
- Certificate of Proficiency in Survival craft
- Basic sea survival
And or
- Valid STCW 2010 certificate
