Job Summary

Responsible for the welfare and comfort of the assigned clients under his supervision and must ensure that the tasks related to the job are performed according to the company’s policy and procedures. Ensure that the clients receive sound travel assistance and updated flight information concerning re-confirmation of flights and changes in flight schedules. Responsible for sales of excursions operated by the company and to liaise with the head office on a regular basis and provide precise and relevant information as required by the clients.

Duties

  • To represent the interests of Creole Travel Services in the designated area in compliance with the Quality Assurance Manual.
  • To carry out all such duties and achieve a high customer satisfaction level.
  • Show a genuine interest and maintain excellent communication and relations with all suppliers and guests. Develop mutual respect with the local people you deal with on a daily basis.
  • Provide an effective and efficient customer service to all clients by:
    • welcoming them upon arrival
    • Introduce yourself
    • Always looking pleasant
    • Showing enthusiasm during work
    • Behaving towards all the clients equally
    • Use Creole in the vicinity of clients is not allowed. To note that speaking in a language clients do not understand can create a barrier between the Hostess and the client.
  • Ensure that all Creole Travel Services clients receive direct service within 24 hours of arrival into your area.
  • Organise effective duty visits ensuring optimum service to all guests in your designated area. You must also attend to any special requirements as may be required
  • To establish, organise and promote excursions only through Creole Travel Services approved agents and suppliers. To actively sell tours to enhance the quality of the customers holiday.
  • Participate where needed in Travel Agents /Staff Educationals and Press Trips.
  • Complete all paperwork and administration accurately and neatly as per Company guidelines/procedures.
  • Be fully conversant with the Creole Travel Services brochures relevant to the area in which you are working. Ensure accuracy of information and advise correctly, as per Company guidelines, of any changes or issues that will affect the customers’ holiday.
  • Monitor standards of accommodation, facilities and general service given to Creole Travel Services guests. Provide feedback and reports as and when required
  • Provide feedback on any ideas for improving the operation, new product opportunities and future expansion.
  • Be aware of Company procedures in the event of an emergency and understand the role to be assumed by yourself.
  • Take particular care of guests in the case of illness or accident providing suitable care and sympathetic attention.
  • Show commitment to Company objectives, quality and cost effective organisation. Be loyal to the Company, its employees and associates. Ensure that company/suppliers money and property is safe guarded
  • To be proactive / take initiative as to any special requirements / clients status, types of room, birthdays, repeaters, honeymooners package, wedding anniversary and / or any special event to celebrate
  • Liaise with Supervisors and / or Head of Departments regarding transfer schedules, transfer pick up times, arrival and departure details and excursion schedules
  • Undertake sales and promotion of the company’s excursion and services. For all sales of services, to include car hire, yacht charter, deep sea fishing, etc, the company’s voucher shall be issued for each and every sale. Sales of any other products must be with contracted suppliers only. Sales of non contracted products will only be done upon authorization of the HoD or Senior Management.
  • Undertake administrative duties as required by office procedures, e.g. maintaining proper records
  • Maintaining good working relationship with all authorities and partners of the company.
  • Maintain a daily record of clients’ movements.
  • Liaise with Accounts Department for sale transactions.
  • Be aware of Health and Safety Regulations and make regular checks with reports where necessary
  • Effectively and efficiently maintain the standards of the (ISO) quality management system of company.
  • Assist clients in resort and if required liaise with Customer Services
  • Reconfirmation of flight / pre seating allocations (in possible cases)
  • Assist with other duties such as Hostess at hotel desk, Guide, Airport Hostess whenever required.
  • To carry out any additional tasks and / or duties as requested by your supervisor/manager

Job Requirements

EDUCATION (KNOWLEDGE):

  • Certificate or Diploma in Tourism, O level in English and French. Knowledge of a third Language is desirable.

TRAINING SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Good knowledge of the Seychelles Products
  • Computing Skills
  • Public Relations skills
  • Research skills
  • Good knowledge of the destination in all its aspects
  • Knowledge of the different markets

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum one year related working experience

WORKING HOURS

48 hours a week with one day Off per week

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Flexible working arrangements depending on the needs of the clients. However, a daily movement schedule should be made available to the company.
