Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the Market Intelligence Section.
• Prepare and manage budgeting for the Market Intelligence Section.
• Conduct research and studies to identify investment opportunities and make recommendations.
• Carry out periodic surveys to assess the socio-economic impact of investments and the general investment climate prevailing in Seychelles.
• Track and report on performance against Key Performance Indicators and Targets.
• Set up, lead, and manage SIB’s technical committees.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of Weekly and Quarterly Reports and other reports as required by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

Essential-Relevant University qualification such as a first degree (or higher) preferably in one of the following subjects:

• Economics
• Business
• Accounting
• Finance
• Business Administration
• or a business-related field

Experience

Essential – A minimum of 2 – 3 years in a senior role, preferably with experience working at this level in government or the private sector.

Qualities

• Budgetary and Cost Control abilities
• High level of professionalism and integrity
• Ability to exercise sound judgment confidently and reliably on behalf of the entity
• Ability to prepare appropriate analysis-identifying issues, forming hypotheses, synthesizing conclusions, and helping to implement the change
• Proficient in English/French-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively synthesize information to reach a diverse audience
• Excellent computer skills -fully proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Internet, and database programs and ability to learn new programs

Working Conditions: Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm but may be required to work outside normal working hours.
