Mahe Laundry Services is a start-up laundry venture located in Roche Caiman, on the mainland of Mahe, Seychelles. The commercial laundry will service mainly business customers in the hospitality, industrial and heathcare sectors and has a total capacity of ± 13,000 tons/day.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Description

Job Role

This position is responsible for the processes including, but not limited to the collection, receiving, packing, loading, distributing, unloading and delivering of all linen / linen bags / trolleys / uniform bags / stock, etc. to and from clients.

KEY DELIVERABLES AND WEIGHTING

• Ensure all trolleys and bags are sealed using a seal with a serial number
• Ensure all serial numbers are recorded on the collection docket
• Ensure that the correct number of trolleys and bags is collected and delivered accordingly
• Each delivery note is collected and verified in according to the number of trolleys/bags that is collected and delivered
• Ensure that there is no damage to the trolleys and bags that is used to pack the linen
• Ensure that the general appearance of the trolleys and bags are in good presentable condition
• No damage is incurred on bags, trolleys, stock, client premises, company premises or any other party and no injuries incurred
• Trolleys and bags are positioned in the correct manner and fashion in the truck, and they are properly secured using straps that is provided
• Deliveries to customers are grouped and organized as per route plan
• Ensure that extra empty bags and trolleys, as requested by client, if verified and loaded into truck
• Driver must familiarise himself / herself with all rules and regulations at pickup and delivery points and obey all rules and regulations at pickup and delivery points, these might differ from site to site
• Tail lift and doors on trucks is closed and secured properly with a lock
• Drive delivery vehicle to and from deliveries and pickup points only
• Ensure delivery vehicle is roadworthy (e.g. inspections and completion of inspection checklist) and perform first line maintenance on the vehicle (e.g. check and fill up oil when required, report vehicle defects, ensure tyre pressure is correct, etc.)
• Ensure that the correct speed limit and the rule of the road is always followed
• All violations that are generated from the tracking system will result in disciplinary process
• Ensure safe departure of truck at collection and delivery bays
• Ensure that vehicle is clean, neat, and tidy always
• All vehicle defects must be reported to management
• All vehicle accidents must be reported to management
• Ensure that customer complaints / concerns / comments are recorded and relayed to the designated responsible company representative / person
• Portray the professional image of the company and advance the Company’s interests, protect its image and ensure that the correct clean uniforms and are well presented, neat and tidy

Job Requirements

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a customer service-related industry/ delivery industry

Behavioural/Soft Competencies, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• The ability to work under stress and resolve conflict.
• Detail orientated
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and accurately in English.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements:

• Grade 12/ NQF level# 4 or equivalent
• Class 4 driver’s licence

Desirable Requirements:

• minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service-related industry/ delivery industry

Working Hours: A minimum of 48 hours per week.
