Job Description
The Finance Officer is responsible for the financial management, reporting, and regulatory compliance of the Securities Dealer. The role ensures accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, monitoring of capital adequacy, and adherence to all FSA reporting obligations under the Securities Act and related regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and report on the firm’s financial performance, liquidity, and capital adequacy ratios as required by the FSA.
- Prepare and submit statutory filings and regulatory returns to the Board of Directors and relevant regulatory authorities within prescribed deadlines.
- Assist in annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth completion of the audit process.
- Support management with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
- Contribute to process automation and system improvements for efficiency and transparency.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 1 years’ accounting or finance experience in the financial services or securities sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working hours: 8 hours per day with 1hr lunch break and 30mins tea break
