APEX Hotel Supplies is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to deliver financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business intelligence. This role is responsible for executing management finance reporting and analytics, transforming complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support organisational strategy, performance management, and executive decision-making. The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen with exceptional analytical, mathematical, and communication skills to deliver accurate reporting and insights.The position is data-intensive and requires an individual who is comfortable working with large datasets, developing financial models, monitoring industry trends, and presenting findings to senior leadership, directors, and shareholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Shareholder Reporting

  • Prepare financial presentations and reports for Directors, Executives, and Shareholders
  • Translate financial data into strategic intelligence and actionable recommendations.
  • Present key findings and performance indicators in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support governance, business reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Responsible for developing recommendations for review by the Director to ensure financial analytics and analytical tools deliver maximum effectiveness aligned with the Finance reporting and analytics strategy and Finance’s overall strategy.
  • Requires high attention to detail and must handle distractions, changing priorities, and interruptions, while meeting required deadlines. Regular periods of prolonged concentration involved in data organization, review, verification, and analysis, typically involving large datasets.
  • Required to manage deadline pressures and accountability.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
  • Analyse financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Produce executive dashboards and performance scorecards.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of reporting data.

Business Intelligence & Research

  • Conduct research on market developments, economic conditions, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Monitor internal and external factors impacting business performance.
  • Analyse sector-specific developments relevant to APEX Hotel Supplies and the hospitality supply industry.
  • Provide insights to support organisational strategy and business growth.

Data Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Improve reporting processes, reporting automation, and data visualisation capabilities.
  • Maintain reporting standards and ensure consistency across business units.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial analytics and decision-support tools.
  • Collaborate with finance, commercial, procurement, and operational teams to improve business performance.
