We are seeking to recruit an experience and results driven individual to lead our Sales & Marketing Division in the role of:

Head of Sales & Marketing

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for developing and executing the Company’s sales and marketing strategy, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, driving revenue growth and lead and inspire the sales and marketing team to achieve performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Company Sales &Marketing Strategy, plans and programs.
  • Achieve and deliver on monthly, quarterly and annual sales and revenue targets
  • Develop effective route to market strategies to cater for the wholesale market.
  • Research and develop marketing and sales opportunities
  • Oversee brand positioning, product launches, promotional campaigns.
  • Provide for market intelligence, analyse trends and propose commercially sound decisions.
  • Lead the team on sales forecast, budgeting and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with other key business units to ensure alignment with the Sales & Marketing.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory requirement and competition laws.
  • Lead and inspire the team to achieve desired performance.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

  • A degree in Sales, Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration (specializing in Sales/Marketing) or relevant qualification OR
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field will be an advantage with 5 years’ senior level experience of sales and marketing in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods industry (FMCG) or 10 years’ progressive experience in a management role in Marketing or Sales.

Skills & Competencies

  • Must be excellent at designing and implementing marketing strategies to achieve desired results;
  • Demonstrated success in leading sales and marketing teams.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills;
  • Should be able to design competitive and cost-effective strategies;
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Able to interact with stakeholders at all levels within the company and externally
  • A Team Player and influencer.
  • Easily adapt to changes and can operate within challenging environments.
  • Strong analytical and commercial decision-making ability.
  • Good understanding of FMCG, retail operations. Merchandising, and key account management.
