Job Description
Job Summary
Hunt Deltel is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Technician to support the health and safety functions across our company. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, assisting with safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and fostering a culture of safety awareness. The technician will also maintain safety records, support incident reporting, and provide data to help management make informed decisions regarding health and safety improvements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary Education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Basic Safety Training or Certificate in Nursing will be an advantage.
Required Competencies & Skills
- Valid driving licence ( Class 2 )
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Field-based role requiring physical fitness to perform inspections and work in operational environments.
- Ability to carry out routine site monitoring and conduct inspections under varied conditions.
