Title: Inspector (Transportation)
Responsible to: Principal Inspector/Director General
Working Hours: Normal: 8am to 4pm and standby for emergencies after working hours and on Saturdays and Sundays. Maybe requested to work on weekends/ odd hours.
Job Description
Summary of Duties
Assist the Principal Inspector to ensure the following that private and omnibus operator operate in line with their licenses and respect all, routes and other conditions of their license/together with the Seychelles Licensing Authority and other inspectors;
- ensuring that car hire operators operate in line with existing regulations
- ensuring that taxi operators operate in line with existing regulations
- assists with requirements for importation of all vehicles
- assist with the controls and monitors movements of oversize vehicles and other related activities
- assist to carry out site visits on demands at anytime
- assist with the preparation of the monthly reports
- Performs any other related duties assigned by the Director General or other senior staff members.

Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
Or
- Certificate (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport)
- Knowledge in Mechanics and background in Law
- Must possess a category 2 driving licence
