As a member of the team, you will be responsible to execute the assessment and evaluation of applications for insurance transactions for the commercial section, and the efficient underwriting process in line with KYC and AML regulations, and through the provision of excellent customer service.

Job Description

Main Roles

• Effectively execute the underwriting operations of the commercial section, in accordance with the respective tariff, policy wording and treaty agreement.
• Process new business schedule and renewal certificates, policy documents and endorsements.
• Carry out correct reinsurance allocations in accordance with the respective treaty agreement.
• Correspond with international reinsurers and brokers on facultative placement and negotiate terms and conditions of re-insurance as required.
• Placement of the risks on a facultative basis with ‘A’ rated reinsurance companies to ensure quick and prompt settlement of claims.
• Work in close liaison with the relevant stakeholders and maintain a close rapport between the units and provide information as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Accounting and Finance
• CII Certificate
• 5 years of experience in general insurance
