The Attorney General Office, Department of Legal Affairs, is inviting suitably qualified Seychellois nationals to apply for the below post.

Responsible to: State Counsels/HRBMO

Job Description
Job Summary:
The post holder must assist the State Counsels/Public Prosecutors to properly manage their daily schedules and offer clerical and administrative support.
The principal duties and tasks are:-
- Undertaking complex clerical, typing of secretarial tasks associated with correspondence received or dispatched, rapidly and accurately;
- Undertaking copy typing, word processing, spreadsheet and database management tasks;
- Undertaking complex calculations or prepare statistical report as and when required;
- Undertaking scheduling of appointments;
- Conduct interviews with members of the public, deal with straightforward queries and provide information on relevant matters on behalf of the State Counsel/Public Prosecutors;
- Undertake any duties assigned by the State Counsel/Public Prosecutors, and in all situation bring to the tasks complete integrity, discretion and confidentiality;
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Attorney General and HRBMO.

Job Requirement
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Office Management or Business Administration or;
- Advance certificate in Office Management or Business Administration plus 2 years’ experience or;
- Certificate in Office Management or Business Administration plus 4 years’ experience or;
- Five years’ experience as an Office Assistant.
Essential knowledge and skills
- Strong clerical, secretarial, and administrative skills, including accurate typing, word processing, and database management;
- Ability to perform complex calculations and prepare statistical or other reports;
- Proficiency in scheduling appointments and managing calendars;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the public and handle queries professionally;
- High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in all tasks;
- Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and follow instructions from State Counsel, Public Prosecutors, or the Attorney General
