Job Description
Job Summary
Promoting and facilitating access to Seychelles Credit Union (SCU)’s loans products to current and prospective members whilst providing the good service to SCU’s customers. Conducting awareness programmes for SCU’s loans products, procedures to access these products, and simultaneously striving to achieve the SCU’s targets.
Duties
- Assisting members in filing loan application forms
- Compiling and filing loan documentations for approval and processing purposes
- Preparing loan agreements, loan security documents, payment vouchers and cheques for loan disbursement
- Compile loan applications for consideration and/or ratification by the Credit Committee
- Present loan applications at the Credit Committee meetings
- Ensure accuracy and safe custody of loan documentations and securities
- Assist members with any loan queries and facilitate access to loan products
- Liaise with the Securities and Recovery Department and notaries concerning loan securities documentation
- Liaise with Credit Committee to arrange for meetings and interview of applicants, if applicable
- Liaise with Officer responsible for emergency loans in connection with processing of such loans
- Develop a good working knowledge of the banking software at the SCU
- Complying to the SCU’s internal policies when undertaking daily duties and ensuring that the SCU continues to comply to relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations, procedures and best practices
- Promptly reporting any suspected irregularities as per procedures stated in internal policies and/or laws and regulations in order to minimise financial loss and protect the reputation of SCU.
Benefits
Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Education qualifications:
- At least 5 IGCSE with pass grades, or
- Diploma in Business Management or Accounting and Finance; and
- Certificate in business development, sales or marketing is preferable.
2. Previous Work Experience in customer service and other related field is also preferable
