Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

Location: Fond Ferdinand – Praslin

Job Description

The Maintenance Assistant will report to the Property Maintenance Supervisor for all aspects of SIF property maintenance and infrastructure at Fond Ferdinand on Praslin.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertakes the maintenance of SIF property at Fond Ferdinand.
• Undertakes the maintenance of all infrastructure, cleanliness and hygiene of the work areas.
• Conducts inspection on all facilities and maintain regular maintenance on the existing building.
• Undertakes the maintenance of trails and firebreaks
• Carries out coco-de-mer collection and removal of exotic plants and alien species.
• Undertakes maintenance of water system and reservoir.
• Conducts inspection and report defects, damage and malfunctions found on property to the supervisor.
• Undertakes the maintenance/repairs of tools, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Assist in the prevention of fires and be part of the firefighting team.
• Keep a record of all the day to day maintenance activities undertaken in the facilities.
• Carry out any other work-related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Post-Secondary Certificate in respective field.
• At least 2-3 years working experience in the related field.
