Air Seychelles is in search of a Manager Corporate Financial Control who will be responsible for identifying cost-saving measures in the business and ensuring the completion of cost-saving projects, ensuring effective actions are taken to improve economic performance of the company and that costs are within set budgets, to identify and track Profit Improvement Initiatives and ensure that business initiatives and contracts are financially viable and in line with the company’s governance process.

Job Description

A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

• Be actively involved in the business planning process. Set targets and ensure that divisional plans are in line with corporate goals.
• Exercise budgetary control by close involvement in the divisional budgeting process, communicates budgets, report variances and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate and provide relevant information for monthly forecasts and ensure that the accrual are accurate.
• Continuously benchmark with external performance indicators.
• Conduct in-depth and meaningful analysis of performance against targets.
• Work closely with Treasury to ensure accurate Cash and Working Capital Forecast.
• Suggest and implement profit improvement initiatives and other management initiatives.
• Ensure that business initiatives and contracts are in line with corporate governance policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance around expenditure control.
• Prepare appropriate performance measurement packs for divisional controlling in a timely manner.
• Conduct reviews of business cases to identify risks to achieving corporate goals and addressing these risks.
• Conduct financial evaluation of projects and business initiatives.

Job Requirements

Our Preferred Profile

• Degree holder in Finance or a related field, or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance such as Chartered Accountant or ACCA.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience in working in relevant discipline within aviation and/or transport-related disciplines i.e. Financial, Operational, Commercial area experience is desirable, of which at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Understanding of airline/ aircraft economics
• Previous experience working with major organizations undertaking analytics, financial due diligence related projects with proven track record of success is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize among competing objectives.
• Possesses high ethical standards
• Must be flexible to travel abroad for short-term projects.
