Job Description
Summary of Duties
Responsible for the effective management, coordination and delivery of socio-economic research and analysis within the Fisheries Research Department. Provides economic and operational leadership to the Economics Research Unit and ensures that timely, robust and relevant economic information and advice are generated to support fisheries management, policy development, investment and the sustainable development of Seychelles’ fisheries resources.

Job Requirements
Education (Special Knowledge) Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics/Applied Economics, Development Economics, Environmental or Natural Resource Economics, or any other related discipline.
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or any other closely related discipline with 10 years of relevant experience
AND
A minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in economics, economic research and analysis, policy analysis, development planning or a related field, including substantial experience in undertaking or coordinating economic studies and analyses. At least 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience. Experience specifically within the fisheries, natural resources or blue economy sectors would be advantageous.
