Air Seychelles is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Commercial Department as Manager Sales & Market Development to direct all elements of Air Seychelles’ business and business-to consumer sales activities in the designated markets, through effective leadership and management of the internal and external resources.

Job Description

A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Represent Air Seychelles as the Senior Manager within/across designated market.
  • In conjunction with the Air Seychelles Marketing, Revenue Management teams, ensure joint annual marketing and promotional plans are formalized.
  • Ensures the commercial success of Air Seychelles’ flights for designated markets by engaging with the respective markets, Commercial Managers, in the relevant industries, businesses, and airline partners.
  • Review sales performance and needs of the markets. Discuss strategies and activities required to meet sales/revenue targets, in discussion with Revenue Management Team. Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reviews with the markets and work closely with the Head of Commercial.
  • Responsible for the achievement of budgeted revenue goals and the effective management of controllable costs.
  • Implement processes of competitive pricing analysis and provide recommendations to the Air Seychelles Revenue Management Team on market requirements.
  • In conjunction with market, support the GSAs’ and Travel Agencies to push Air Seychelles product.

Job Requirements

Our Preferred Profile:

  • Degree in Marketing/Sales.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in the airline industry, 5 of which at a senior level and/or marketing management level.
  • Excellent communication, sales presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
  • Proactive in dealing with third parties and colleagues and is able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • High level of responsibility, integrity and flexibility.
  • Must be able to cope in a demanding and highly energetic work environment.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A ‘self-tarter’ highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to work in a culturally diverse group.
