The Seychelles Commercial Bank is seeking to appoint a responsible, motivated and reliable person to fill the post of Monitoring Analyst. This role is key to safeguarding the Bank from financial crime risks through effective monitoring, investigation, and reporting.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and assess alerts for potential money laundering risks.
- Identify, monitor, and escalate suspicious activities and transactions.
- Ensure timely reporting of suspicious transactions to the AML Reporting Officer.
- Investigate, review, and report on sanctions and fraud-related alerts.
- Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and quarterly reports.
- Conduct ongoing sampling of customer applications to detect fraud and financial crime across all products and services.
- Assist in reviewing high-risk client files for completeness and adequate documentation.
- Perform daily monitoring of staff accounts.
- Identify process weaknesses or areas of non-adherence to procedures.
- Maintain documentary evidence for all investigations conducted.
- Assist with periodical KYC reviews to ensure due diligence standards are met and records are up to date.
Job Requirement
Education
- Basic Banking knowledge or exposure
Knowledge
- Strong analytical capability
- Good computer literacy (word, Excel)
- Basic understanding of AML/CFT and fraud risk principles
