Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Cold Storage Operations

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure products are stored in the correct freezer, chiller, or dry storage locations.
• Monitor freezer and chiller temperatures and report any abnormalities immediately.
• Assist with unloading containers and loading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organised, and safe storage areas.

Stock Control

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
• Ensure accurate stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, or short-dated products.
• Assist in investigating stock variances and inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate stock movements are recorded in the inventory system.

Order Preparation

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and within required timelines.
• Verify products and quantities before dispatch.
• Ensure products remain within the cold chain during handling and transportation.

Hygiene, Food Safety & Quality

• Maintain excellent hygiene standards in accordance with company policies and food safety regulations.
• Follow all cleaning and sanitation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and quality procedures.
• Report any food safety, hygiene, or quality concerns immediately.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
• Conduct basic equipment checks and report faults promptly.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Health & Safety

• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe practices immediately.
• Participate in emergency procedures and safety training.

General Duties

• Assist other departments during peak operational periods.
• Support stock transfers between warehouse locations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform any other operational duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Food Production, Operations, or related field is an advantage.
• Food Hygiene or HACCP certification is desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, food production, cold storage, or operations.
• Experience working in freezer and chiller environments is an advantage.
• Experience with stock control and inventory management.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.
