Designation: Operations Manager

Location: Sustainable Power Solutions, Wastea Complex, Providence, Mahe.

Reporting To: General Manager

Job Description

  • People:
    • Compile job descriptions and KPIs together with Group HRM
    • Together with the Group HRM conduct interviews and complete recruitment process
    • Arrange travel for staff members to other islands in Seychelles
    • Arrange accommodation for staff members who require this
    • Track staff annual and sick leave
    • Work with Group HRM to maintain accurate records of GOPs for expatriate staff members
    • Oversee timekeeping and attendance
    • Manage disciplinary offences together with Group HRM
    • Coordinate work schedule and shift roster
  • Management:
    • Delegate and monitor work given to storeman, drivers, and technical supervisors
    • Ensure quality is being respected across all product deliveries
    • Handle customer complaints and orders
    • Monitor status of workshop equipment (check if servicing is required)
    • Enforce compliance with health & safety standards
  • Book-Keeping & Administration:
    • Manage customer orders and prepare quotes and ensure they are sent out on time
    • Send out invoices & statements to ensure payments are made within given timeframe
    • Managing the company petty cash
    • Liaise with all suppliers to create purchase orders and load purchases onto the system
    • Reconciling purchase orders
    • Oversee the sale of spare parts
    •  Inventory management including stock takes
    • Manage office stationery and suppliers

Job Requirements

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience in a service management role, preferably in automotive, tourism, transport, or fleet management industries.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, logistics, and service coordination.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in buggy rental, tourism, or adventure vehicle management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to off-road or recreational vehicles.
