Pest Control Technician
Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting premises for evidence of pests, determining the type of treatment needed, and applying appropriate measures to eliminate pests safely and effectively. You will work closely with clients to assess their pest control needs and provide recommendations for prevention and maintenance. This role requires a thorough understanding of pest behavior, knowledge of pesticide application techniques, and a commitment to ensuring the health and safety of clients and the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest infestations, entry points, and conducive conditions.
- Apply pesticides and other pest control treatments according to regulations and best practices, ensuring the safety of occupants and the environment.
- Educate clients on pest prevention techniques, sanitation practices, and structural modifications to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, treatment plans, and customer communications using appropriate software or documentation systems.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new pest control products and techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Post Secondary certification or equivalent; additional education or certification in pest management is preferred.
- Knowledge of pesticide safety protocols, application techniques, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and address their concerns.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to analyze pest-related issues and develop effective solutions.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in various environments and weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
