Post Title: Policy Analyst
Report to: Director
Working hours: Usually 0800hrs to 1600hrs
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual who is eager, keen and dedicated to join our growing team overseeing the development of a financial services sector which spurs economic growth and development, whilst also safeguarding the country’s reputation as a transparent jurisdiction offering valued financial services products.
Main Duties:
- Research and analysis of key background themes relating to financial sector policy;
- Assist in preparing position papers and concept notes relating to work undertaken by the Unit;
- Assist in the analysis of proposed legislative and policy changes to financial sector matters;
- Assist in the dissemination of information relating to financial sector policies devised by the Division to internal and external stakeholders;
- Represent the Ministry at forums, conferences and workshops on a national and international level;
- Liaise with and maintain relationships with national and international partners and stakeholders in relation to financial sector matters;
- Remain abreast of new initiatives and developments nationally and internationally relating to financial sector matters;
- Remain informed and involved in the development and implementation of national strategies relating to the sector;
- Any other duties commensurate with the post.
Benefits
Salary Band: SB3 – SB6
Remuneration: Salary package will be based on qualification and experience, in accordance with the scheme of service.
Job Requirements
Minimum entry requirements:
- Master’s Degree in International Trade Finance and Development/Business Administration/Economics/Public Policy, or related field; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/ Business/Trade/Foreign Trade/Economics/Economic Policy or related field.
- Advanced Diploma in Business Studies Administration/ Business/Economics/Trade/Public Policy or related field; plus, three years as an Assistant Policy Analyst/Assistant Analyst/Assistant Trade Officer/Assistant Investigation Officer.
