Job Description
Main Responsibilities
Main responsibility: Monitor the generator and its components, document energy production rates, and check readings periodically to ensure efficiency and consistency in energy production.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the facilities, internal and outsourced maintenance teams, including task assignment, staff supervision, and performance management.
- Take ownership of all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) services related to the entire premises and site infrastructure.
- Coordinate and ensure timely and cost-effective completion of reactive maintenance tasks across the premises.
- Consult with premises-based stakeholders to understand their needs and discuss required work.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of equipment and service agreements to facilitate proper repair and maintenance processes.
- Ensure mission critical systems such as, primary power generators, ICT & security systems and back up remain operational with minimum downtime in every instance.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, and health and security standards, and promote a safe working environment.
- Oversee minor facilities projects and associated remedial works.
- Ensure timely procurement of required parts to facilitate on-time and complete job completion.
- Generate and report monthly on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs)

- Commercially astute and able to deliver projects within budget using in-house skills where possible.
- Good decision-making skills, with the flexibility to reprioritise tasks and break-fix jobs as needed.
- Experience in supervising teams and managing projects
- Strong team player with a can-do attitude.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle a complex and varied workload.
- This is a remote island posting, thus the ability to work under isolated conditions utilizing the available site-based resources and facilities to its maximum efficiency is essential.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc based Engineering qualification, City & Guilds, ONC, or equivalent qualification in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in facilities/maintenance management,
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance practices, health, and safety regulations, and building codes.
- Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.
Entry Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree of science in any field related to electrical engineering or power generation technology and 7 years’ working experience in similar position.
- Candidate needs to be conversant with Deep Sea Electronics
