The Fair Trading Commission is looking for a responsible dynamic individual to join its team.
Job Description
Job Summary
- Serve legal documents to individuals in a timely manner and ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements during service of documents.
- Search and locate recipients using appropriate and lawful methods.
- Complete and file accurate proof of service with detailed information on how, when, and where documents were delivered.
- Keep clear records of all service attempts, communications, and outcomes.
- Appear in court when required to provide evidence regarding the service of documents.
- Act as the designated driver for the Legal Affairs Section.
- Assist with dispatch of administrative correspondences and the transportation of staff in the absence or unavailability of the driver or other designated drivers.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the vehicle used for duties.
- Accurately record vehicle mileage and usage logs.
CORE WORKING HOURS: 8am to 4pm
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Secondary level of Education with two years of relevant work experience
- IGCSE in English and French plus a valid Driver’s License (Class 2)
Preferable Skills
- Familiarity with service of process requirements and legal documentation would be beneficial.
- Strong written and oral communication skills both in English and Creole.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
- Ability to plan work efficiently and multitask.
