Job Description

Purpose

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading in-market procurement activities for Phoenix Beverages Group’s local market- Seychelles, ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing and purchasing of goods and services required by operational and support functions. The role translates approved business requirements and budgets into effective procurement execution, while maintaining supplier reliability, purchasing discipline, and alignment with Phoenix Beverages Group procurement standards.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Supply Chain Manager – Seychelles, and Group Procurement, the incumbent coordinates requirements, specifications, sourcing activities, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, supplier performance, and issue resolution. The role safeguards procurement governance and audit readiness, identifies supply and cost risks, and drives continuous improvement in purchasing processes, supplier data, spend visibility, and stakeholder ways of working.

Top Accountabilities

  • Plan & Source
    • Translate business needs into procurement plans, run RFQs, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
  • Buy & Execute
    • Raise and manage purchase orders end-to-end – from confirmation through delivery, resolving any delays or shortfalls along the way.
  • Manage Suppliers
    • Own day-to-day supplier relationships, track performance, and drive corrective action where needed.
  • Negotiate & Save
    • Support commercial negotiations, analyse cost movements, and identify savings and cost-avoidance opportunities.
  • Stay Compliant
    • Ensure all procurement activity is policy-compliant, properly documented, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Manage Risk
    • Spot supply and cost risks early, coordinate resolution, and escalate where necessary to the Supply Chain Manager or Group Procurement.
  • Report & Improve
    • Maintain procurement dashboards and KPI trackers, and continuously improve how procurement works across the business.

Job Requirements

Qualifications + Experience

Essential

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–7 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations
  • At least 2–3 years in a senior buyer, lead, or supervisory procurement role – FMCG or manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with RFQs, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and audit compliance

Preferred

  • CIPS, CPSM, APICS/ASCM or equivalent professional certification
  • Training in strategic sourcing, contract management, or commercial analysis

Key Skills

  • Strong commercial instincts, analytical ability, and confident stakeholder management
  • Proficient in Excel and an ERP or e-procurement system
