Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. The Candidate shall have at least 5 years’ experience in a construction management experience, preferably in an engineering firm.
2. The Candidate shall develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, creating detailed milestones for all project phases.
3. The Candidate shall prepare cost estimates, negotiate contracts, and manage project expenses.
4. The Candidate shall conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, ensure quality control, and maintain high standards of safety.
5. The Candidate shall act as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and subcontractors, providing regular updates and resolving conflicts.
6. The Candidate shall hire and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and staff, allocating resources efficiently.
7. The Candidate shall ensure compliance with building codes, legal regulations, and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation, including client instructions, change orders, permits, and drawings.
8. The Candidate will be required to perform some document control in the form of maintaining drawing numbers and filing of drawing registers according to Atom Engineering’s standards.
9. The Candidate should possess excellent communication skills. This includes management of electronic communications as well as clarity of verbal communication.
10. As an individual, the Candidate should possess a strong work ethic and be willing to work odd hours from time to time. A strong sense of discipline is required.
11. Any other duties assigned by the Director.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore), scheduling software (e.g., MS Project/ Primavera), and CAD software.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities to keep projects on track.
• Pro-active approach and anticipates issues before they are problems.
• Strong knowledge of multi-disciplinary co-ordination.
