Position Summary:

The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling customer inquiries and booking reservations accurately and efficiently. This role provides excellent customer service by assisting guests with reservations, pricing, availability, and special requests while maximizing revenue and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

  • Answer incoming calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding reservations
  • Create, modify, and cancel reservations using the reservation system
  • Provide accurate information on rates, availability, promotions, and policies
  • Assist guests in selecting suitable accommodations based on their preferences, budget, and special requirements, ensuring a seamless booking experience.
  • Upsell products and services when appropriate
  • Process payments, deposits, and refunds according to company procedures
  • Maintain accurate guest and booking records
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary
  • Coordinate with front desk, sales, or operations teams as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information and recommendations to guests.
  • Follow company standards for customer service and data confidentiality

Job Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Must be in good health
  • Ability to communicate in English and French
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in similar post and in luxury Hotel
  • Previous reservations experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with reservation systems and basic computer applications
  • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell
