Job Description
PURPOSE
The Retail Support Officer is responsible for supporting retail outlets by ensuring proper product availability, shelf presentation, pricing accuracy, and promotion execution. The role involves regular fieldvisits and requires mobility using a scooter to service assigned outlets efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Retail & Merchandising Support
- Ensure products are correctly displayed and neatly arranged on shelves according to company standards.
- Maintain accurate pricing, shelf labels, and promotional materials in retail outlets.
- Monitor product freshness, rotate stock using FIFO, and remove damaged or expired items.
- Assist in setting up promotional displays and new product launches.
- Stock Monitoring & Sales Support
- Check stock availability and report low stock or out-of-stock items to the Sales Team.
- Liaise with Sales Representatives and store staff to support replenishment and orders.
- Provide feedback on product movement and in-store challenges.
- Outlet Visits & Route Management
- Visit assigned retail outlets according to the planned route schedule.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with store managers and staff.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
- Reporting & Administration
- Submit daily or weekly visit reports, including photos where required.
- Report competitor activity, pricing changes, and market trends.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of outlet visits and tasks completed.
- Compliance & Conduct
- Follow company policies, health & safety rules, and merchandising guidelines.
- Take proper care of company assets, including scooters (if provided), uniforms, and materials.
- Always comply with traffic laws and safe riding practices.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Outlet coverage and visit frequency
- Display and pricing compliance
- Reduction in out-of-stock situations
- Timely execution of promotions
- Accuracy and timeliness of reports

Job Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum secondary school education
- Previous experience in retail support, merchandising, or FMCG sales is an advantage
- Valid scooter riding licence (mandatory)
- Confident and safe scooter rider with good road awareness
- Physically fit and able to handle light stock and displays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
