Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. The role includes monitoring premises, enforcing security procedures, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe environment. The officer provides a visible security presence, supports emergency response, and upholds company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of all areas, including guest floors, public spaces, back-of-house, and perimeter.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to identify suspicious activities.
• Ensure all entrances, exits, and sensitive areas remain secure.
• Monitor and control movement of persons entering and leaving the premises.
• Verify identification of staff, contractors, and visitors when required.
• Ensure adherence to sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as theft, disturbances, accidents, or safety hazards.
• Take appropriate action to prevent escalation and ensure safety.
• Assist in fire drills, evacuations, and emergency procedures.
• Report safety risks such as defective equipment, unsafe conditions, or hazards.
• Support fire safety protocols and ensure extinguishers, alarms, and exits are in good condition.
• Enforce company security policies and maintain high standards of conduct.
• Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and daily activity records.
• Assist in investigations when required.
• Provide friendly and professional support to guests and employees as needed.
• Offer directions, assistance in emergencies, and maintain a reassuring presence.
• Handle guest concerns and refer matters appropriately.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong observation and alertness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Basic computer skills (CCTV monitoring, report writing).
• Physical fitness to conduct patrols and respond to incidents.
• Certificate in Security Operations or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in security, preferably in hospitality or customer-facing environments.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, fire systems, and emergency response.
• Clean background and good character.
• First aid training is an advantage.
