Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Job Description
Role Summary
Corvina is seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple property developments, including a 5-star Hotel renovation and extension, as well as other commercial and residential development projects. The role will lead projects through all six phases – Initiation, Design Development, Procurement & Tender, Construction, Commissioning, and Closure – combining practical construction expertise with strategic oversight and boardroom-style reporting.
This individual will manage the project at both macro and technical levels, coordinating cross-functional teams of contractors, developers, designers, and specialists to ensure key milestones are achieved. The role requires a blend of on-site and office-based work, including regular visits to construction sites to resolve technical challenges and monitor progress, alongside office-based responsibilities such as preparing clear and accurate development reports for owners.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Project Management (50%)
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
- Lead site/technical coordination to resolve challenges and keep projects on schedule.
- Identify project risks & opportunities for design and construction improvements
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to secure permits, approvals, and ensure statutory compliance.
- Build & lead a small team of junior project coordinators
- Ensure QA/QC processes and HSE compliance are maintained across all projects.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, change orders, progress reports, and other project documentation.
- Development & Project Planning (50%)
- Act as primary contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. Candidate must be able to do project briefs, client service realisation, assessment of Technical Due Diligences.
- Generate and approve baseline programmes, monitor costs, resources, procurement, and implement cost-control measures. Candidate must be able to carry out value engineering across all projects.
- Oversee appointment and management of consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
- Chair high-level progress meetings and produce clear reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Job Requirements
Skills and Experience
- The Senior Project Manager must balance big-picture strategic thinking with attention to granular details to ensure project milestones are met.
- Experience in both Development Management and Project Management, is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, is required.
- Min. 5 years’ experience managing international hotel or large-scale property developments, with a proven delivery record.
- Experience in procurement strategy, fit-out packages, and specialist contractors (including AV, kitchen and laundry equipment, spa, etc.), with familiarity in JBCC and FIDIC contracts.
- Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- In-depth knowledge of quality standards, health & safety regulations, and sustainable construction practices.
- Strong risk management skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills (English required; French/Creole advantageous).
Working conditions
- The Senior Project Manager will be based on Mahé, Seychelles, with a mix of office-based work, remote work, and regular site visits. He/She will also be expected to spend a certain number of days each month on Praslin island.
