SEYCHELLES OCEAN FINANCE PLANNING LEAD – MARINE 30×30

The Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seychelles Ocean Finance Planning Lead to lead the implementation of the Marine 30×30 Finance Pilot Programme in Seychelles. The position is delivered in partnership with the Blue Nature Alliance and Minderoo Foundation to support the development of a National Marine Finance Plan that will help achieve Seychelles’ 30×30 marine conservation commitments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation and overall coordination of the Marine 30×30 Finance Pilot Programme.
  • Coordinating with Government ministries, development partners and key stakeholders to develop Seychelles’ National Marine Finance Plan.
  • Supporting financial modelling, scenario analysis and the identification of innovative marine finance mechanisms.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement, project reporting, monitoring and fundraising efforts.
  • Ensuring alignment of the finance plan with the Seychelles Marine Spatial Plan (SMSP).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Management or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in financial modelling, conservation finance, blue economy or sustainable finance.
  • Strong project management, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Based in Seychelles with strong knowledge of the national institutional landscape.
