Job Description
Job Summary
The individual will be responsible for handling the enquiries of the different types of vessels calling to Port Victoria under the agency, ensuring ship owners and the vessel master’s requirements in port are met with the utmost efficiency and despatch. These roles include but are not limited to arranging a berth, all required port and husbandry services, clearing the ship with the port and authorities, amongst other roles.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- The candidate must have at least a Certificate /or Diploma in maritime studies, business, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or port operations is beneficial.
- Strong background in customer service or client relations.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in (Microsoft Office Skills)
- Valid driving licence (minimum 2 years’ experience)
- Able to work odd hours
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changes in environment
- Team player and proactive
