Job Description
Post Title: Technician
Division:Â Radio Communications
Responsible To: Director Radio Communications
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administer the national radio-frequency spectrum, numbering plan and any other national telecommunication related resources.
- Assist in the maintenance of the relevant database for radio-frequencies, numbers, call signs, MMSIs etc.
- Assist in the validation of data associated with the database for radio-frequencies.
- Assist in Implementing the various stages of licensing for telecommunication services and radio communication systems, inclusive of the preparation of licences
- Process applications for the importation of radio communication equipment.
- Assist in conducting examination for maritime radio telephone operators.
- Investigate and eliminate harmful radio-frequency interference.
- Conduct inspections of radio communication equipment.
- Conduct radio-frequency spectrum monitoring.
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Director of Radio Communications.

Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Diploma in Electronics and/or Communications Engineering related field plus Or
- Successfully completed two A Level subjects in the field of Mathematics and Science.
