Job Description
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Training & Development Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Training and Development Section, with responsibility for programme development and delivery, teaching and learning, quality assurance, research and related academic services.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will, among other duties:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Training and Development Section;
- Lead and support Heads of Programme and academic personnel;
- Oversee the development, delivery and review of academic programmes, professional qualifications and customised training;
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance;
- Promote research, innovation and continuous improvement; and
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Government, industry, regulators, professional bodies and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Educational Management, or another relevant postgraduate qualification from a recognised institution;
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant post-qualifying professional experience;
- Experience in Training, Education, Programme Management or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial or senior leadership role, preferably within higher education or a similar environment; and
Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and management abilities, excellent communication and analytical skills, and sound knowledge of quality assurance and current developments within the higher education sector.
Suitably qualified local applicants will have a distinct advantage in the selection process.
