Job Description

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not limited to the following areas and activities.

• Responsible for a clean and proper mise en place.
• Carry food and beverages from kitchen/bar to service area professionally.
• Serve guests according to set standards and procedures.
• Collect soiled dishes from the tables and service stations and to dispatch to dish washing area.
• Maintain cleanliness in the Restaurant, service station and back area.
• Set up display/buffet counter with plates/cutleries for different services.
• Complete mise en place before the service starts
• Set up tables and serve meals.
• Pick up requisition from storeroom as assigned to set up tables and serve meals.
• Assist Restaurant Hostess to seat the guests.
• Know the menus by memory as well as chef’s specials, buffet items and beverage list.
• Answer guests queries and to refer any complain/suggestion to Restaurant Manager or his/her Assistants.
• Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks.
• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations

Job Requirements

We consider only candidates who adhere to the below requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years working experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
• Relevant qualifications in hospitality, food & beverage service, or a related field
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, customer service etiquette, and bar operations
• Eagerness to provide excellent guest service and grow within a professional hospitality environment
• Must be in good health and physically fit
• Ability to communicate in English and French fluently
