The Seychelles Home Care Agency is looking for serious and motivated person to fill the above position.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Family and Caregiver Engagement:
- Engage with families and caregivers to identify and address signs of abuse and neglect.
- Provide support, resources, and appropriate interventions to mitigate risk factors.
- Develop trust-based relationships with families and promote an understanding of protective care practices.
- Implementation of Social Work Strategies:
- Develop and implement personalized care and prevention plans tailored to the needs of beneficiaries.
- Conduct home visits to assess the well-being of service users and ensure proper caregiving practices are being followed.
- Facilitate access to community resources, such as health, counseling, and support services, to promote beneficiaries’ overall well-being.
- Networking and Collaboration:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to support a holistic approach to care.
- Collaborate with various partners to share best practices, enhance service delivery, and address gaps in support.
- Participate in community events and awareness campaigns to promote well-being and prevention.
Benefits
Remuneration: Band 2
Salary package will be based on qualifications and experience.
Job Requirements
Requirement/Experience
- Diploma in Social Work or a related field plus 3 years relevant work experience
Specialized Techniques/Skills
- Strong assessment and intervention planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and manage complex cases.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable populations.
- Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with the social welfare landscape in Seychelles.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to child and elder care.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
