As a member of the team, you will be responsible to efficiently and accurately lead and execute the operations of the General Insurance claims section in alignment with the company’s claims policies and procedures and the overall business objectives.

Job Description

Summary of Main Roles

• Appraise and verify all claims in line with the Delegation of Authority Manual (DAM) to ensure that they are genuine and paid appropriately.
• Negotiate and approve claims settlements with clients according to agreed limits of the DAM.
• Consult with external parties or expert for guidance and advice on claims lodged as required for decision making process.
• Work in close liaison with the Internal and external stakeholders with regards to non-motor claims related issues.
• Liaise with the legal retainer on claims legal issues.
• Handle complaints and enquiries related to non-motor claims.
• Identify fraud and fraudulent patterns and irregularities in non-motor claims.
• Work in close liaison with loss adjusters, surveyors/Engineers, Investigation Officers, the police and other relevant authorities and organizations with regards to investigation and settlement of claims.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Essential;

• Bachelor’s Degree Insurance and Risk Management or Finance or Commerce or Statistics or Economics.
• CII Diploma.
• 5 years of experience in the insurance sector.

Desirable;

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• CII Certificate or willingness to attain.
• 8 years of experience in the insurance or banking sector.

• Thorough knowledge of General Insurance
• Highly self-motivated with strong initiative and ambitious in achieving goals.
