SHORT TERM CONTRACT
The Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment (MACCE) is implementing a GEF funded project entitled “Indian Ocean ISLANDS – Seychelles- Implementing Sustainable Low and non-Chemical Development in SIDS” (ISLANDS Project). The project is currently seeking a consultancy firm to carry out the following assignment:
DEVELOPMENT OF AN ONLINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR WEBSITE & DATABASE
Work is expected to commence in June 2024 and be implemented by January 2025.
Request for Proposal (RFP) is available in electronic or paper form from the address below between 9.00am to 3.00pm. A full description of duties is provided in the Terms of Reference. These must be consulted before making an application.
General Qualifications/Experience and Skills required (please refer to the TOR for the full list)
- Bachelor’s degree in web design, information technology or a related field with minimum 8 years’ working experience.
- Knowledge of front and back-end website programming languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, C++, C, Java, PHP, etc)
- Knowledge and experience with database programming (e.g. MySQL)
- Experience of similar assignment (design website) in Seychelles/SIDS is an advantage
- Experience and familiarity with Seychelles’ Government website and hosting procedures.
- Prior UNDP/GEF project experience and knowledge of UNDP and GEF procedures is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, experience in moderation and facilitation of stakeholder discussions and reviews, proven through successful interactions with all levels of stakeholder groups especially local communities.
- Demonstrated examples of similar work done and proven track record of delivering on time for past contracts/project
