Financial Controller

Department: Accounts Department

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning, directing, and coordinating the financial accounting functions of the organization, including the formulation of financial policies;
• Assessing the financial position of the organization and providing advice on financial performance;
• Monitoring and controlling expenditure to ensure the efficient and effective use of funds;
• Preparing budgets and management reports, and overseeing all accounting operations;
• Performing any other related duties as may be assigned.

Benefits

Salary Band: B8-B10 (plus applicable allowances as per the Scheme of Service)

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

• ACCA Professional Level Member/Affiliate or equivalent Master’s Degree in Finance plus five years as Senior Accountant; or
• F1 to F9 plus the Professional Ethics Module and the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis or equivalent Degree in Accounting plus six years as Senior Accountant:
• Candidate with a relevant Advanced Diploma in Accounting plus seven years as Senior Accountant;
• Candidate with a Diploma in Public Financial Management/Business Studies or equivalent qualification in Accounting plus eight years as Senior Accountant.

Other Requirements

• Proficiency in the Treasury Information System (TIS);
• Strong computer literacy and sound accounting skills;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
