Job Description

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the professional care and processing of guest laundry, linen, uniforms and other garments. The role requires strong practical knowledge of fabrics, stain treatment, laundry chemicals and industrial laundry equipment to ensure items are cleaned and finished correctly without damage.

Main Tasks

• Sort, wash, dry, iron, press, fold and prepare guest laundry, linen and uniforms.
• Identify different fabric types and select the appropriate washing, drying and finishing method.
• Treat stains using appropriate techniques and laundry chemicals.
• Operate industrial washing machines, dryers and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect garments for stains, damage or required repairs.
• Use correct chemical products and dosage levels according to fabric and cleaning requirements.
• Ensure guest laundry is processed carefully and returned within required timeframes.

Job Requirement

Requirements

• Previous professional laundry experience within a hotel, resort or commercial laundry operation.
• Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment care, stain removal and appropriate treatment methods.
• Ability to identify and safely treat fabrics even when care labels are unavailable.
• Experience operating industrial laundry and finishing equipment.
• Good knowledge of laundry chemicals, correct dosage and safe handling.
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing standards.
• Tailoring or basic garment repair skills are an advantage.
• Good English and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
