Job Description
Job Purpose
Ensure the reliable day-to-day operation, stability, and optimal performance of the company’s OSS (Operations Support Systems) and BSS (Business Support Systems) platforms. Manage provisioning, billing, customer lifecycle processes, and provide training and support to internal teams for smooth usage of the systems.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration & Operations
- Manage, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the OSS/BSS platforms to ensure high availability and proper functioning
- Handle provisioning workflows for Internet, IPTV, Voice, and other services
- Perform billing runs, invoice generation, rating, reconciliation, and revenue assurance tasks
- Execute routine system maintenance, backups, upgrades, and patch management
User Support & Training
- Train call-center agents, support technicians, sales teams, and other staff on proper use of the OSS/BSS system
- Provide first-line support and guidance for OSS/BSS-related queries and issues
- Develop user guides, training materials, and troubleshooting documentation
Provisioning & Customer Lifecycle
- Oversee accurate service provisioning, activation, suspension, and deactivation processes
- Manage customer data integrity, plan changes, and subscription management
- Investigate and resolve provisioning or billing-related customer complaints (escalated or recurring)
Reporting & Compliance
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly billing, provisioning, and revenue reports
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts
- Maintain detailed records of system issues, changes, and resolutions
Collaboration & Improvement
- Work closely with Core Network Engineers, NOC, and Support teams to resolve integration issues
- Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements
- Participate in system upgrades and new module implementations
General
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical OSS/BSS issues
- Go above and beyond to ensure billing accuracy and service continuity
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by management
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience administering OSS/BSS systems in a telecom/ISP environment
- Strong knowledge of provisioning workflows and billing processes (rating, invoicing, reconciliation)
- Experience with common OSS/BSS platforms
- Good understanding of ISP services (GPON, IPTV, VoIP) and their integration with billing systems
- Proficiency in SQL, basic scripting (Python/Bash), and reporting tools
- Excellent training and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
