OVERVIEW

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Renewals Executive to join our team. This position is suited to a candidate with a background in insurance policy administration and renewals who can independently manage a portfolio of insurance policies throughout the renewal cycle. The role involves coordinating the end-to-end renewal process, liaising with clients and insurers, ensuring renewal terms are communicated promptly, premiums are collected, policies are renewed before expiry, and accurate records are maintained in accordance with company procedures. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client retention, regulatory compliance, efficient policy administration, and the delivery of exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the end-to-end insurance policy renewal process from receipt of renewal terms through to policy renewal and issuance in accordance with company procedures.
  • Review renewal terms, communicate with clients, obtain renewal instructions, follow up on outstanding premiums, collect premium payments from clients where required, and ensure policies are renewed prior to expiry.
  • Process policy endorsements, cancellations, and other policy servicing transactions arising as part of the renewal process.
  • Prepare and issue policy schedules, certificates, endorsements, and other policy documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records, renewal registers, policy files, and other policy administration records.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders regarding renewals, quotations, policy servicing matters, and related enquiries.
  • Monitor outstanding renewals and premium collections, prepare renewal reports, and escalate overdue, unpaid, or high-risk matters to Management where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, insurer requirements, applicable legislation, and regulatory requirements, and undertake any other duties as reasonably assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Sound knowledge of the Seychelles insurance market, insurance products, policy administration, and insurance renewal processes is essential.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in insurance policy administration, renewals, underwriting support, or a similar insurance-related role.
  • A minimum of a post-secondary certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification or other recognised insurance-related qualification will be an advantage.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Customer-focused approach with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of policy renewals simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, and time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
