About Us

As part of our ongoing expansion and commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance, we are seeking a highly qualified, locally based Resident Director for clients companies. This individual must successfully clear the FSA’s “Fit and Proper” assessment to act as our primary local mind and management presence.
Job Description
Credentia International (Seychelles) Limited is seeking:
- An FSA Approved Resident Director for Client’s Companies
Key Responsibilities
- As the FSA-approved Resident Director, you will hold ultimate fiduciary responsibility for the local entity, ensuring that governance, operational compliance, and regulatory reporting align perfectly with Seychelles laws.
- Corporate Governance & Oversight: Serve as the primary local member of the Board of Directors, providing local “mind and management” to ensure the company executes its business plan in accordance with Seychelles laws.
- Regulatory Liaison: Act as the principal point of contact between the company and the Seychelles FSA, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), and other local authorities.
- Compliance & AML/CFT Adherence: Oversight of the company’s anti-money laundering (AML) and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT) frameworks. Ensure internal controls, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and transaction monitoring satisfy the AML/CFT Act.
- Financial Oversight & Reporting: Supervise the local bank accounts (ensuring required regulatory capital minimums are intact) and collaborate with local auditors for the timely submission of annual audited financial statements to the FSA.
- Local Substance Management: Ensure the physical office in Seychelles remains operational, compliant, and structurally equipped to store statutory records and transaction data for the legally mandated minimum of 7 years.

Key Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must explicitly meet both the academic standards of the industry and the rigorous statutory pillars of the FSA’s Fit and Proper framework.
- Statutory “Fit & Proper” Criteria
- Honesty & Integrity: An unblemished professional reputation with no history of disciplinary actions by any financial regulator, criminal convictions, or fraud investigations.
- Financial Soundness: A clean financial track record with no history of personal bankruptcy, insolvency, or personal debt defaults.
- Seychelles Residency: Must be a resident person (domiciled in Seychelles or physically present in the country for an aggregate of 183 days or more in a 12-month period) and available to work full-time out of the local office.
- Professional & Educational Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 4 to 6 years of proven experience in a senior management, compliance, or directorial capacity within the non-bank financial services sector (e.g., Securities, Capital Markets, Forex/CFDs, or Trust/Corporate Services).
- Education: A University degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Certifications: Accredited professional certifications are highly advantageous (e.g., Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Diplomas, ICA/ACAMS for AML, or equivalent).
- Skills: Proficient understanding of the Seychelles legislative stack, including the Financial Services Authority Act, the Securities Act, and the International Business Companies (IBC) Act.
