Job Description

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

• Assist with breakfast, buffets, and cocktail mise en place.
• Clear and store leftovers properly in the refrigerator.
• Maintain a tidy, clean, and sanitized workstation at all times.
• Clean the working area after cooking each dish.
• Cover all dishes before storing in the cold room to prevent contamination.
• Support the Chef and CDP as required to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare food according to orders from Executive Chef/Sous Chef.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff in daily duties.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and orderly before leaving.
• Clean and check equipment at the end of the shift; report malfunctions.
• Assist other cooks in different departments when needed.
• Store unused mise en place in clean containers, properly covered and labeled.
• Complete mise en place before service begins.
• Produce dishes following recipes, photos, and set standards.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
• Report or rectify any safety hazards promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (typically 2-3 years)
• Relevant qualifications
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Ability to communicate in English and French.
