Job Description

Position Summary

As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through effective surveillance, monitoring, and proactive response to potential security threats.

Qualification & Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to detect and prevent any unauthorized activities, potential security breaches, or suspicious behaviour.
• Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control, to identify and respond to any security-related incidents or emergencies promptly.
• Maintain a visible and proactive presence at the hotel entrance, lobby, and other key areas to deter potential criminal activities and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
• Greet and assist guests with professionalism and courtesy, providing directions, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a helpful manner.
• Handle guest complaints or security-related incidents effectively and professionally, escalating to higher management when necessary.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, including accurate documentation of events, actions taken, and any relevant information, ensuring all incidents are properly recorded.
• Assist in the implementation of emergency procedures, including evacuations, fire drills, and other safety protocols, to ensure a prompt and effective response in critical situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
• Proven work experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a hospitality or customer service setting.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, protocols, and best practices.
• Familiarity with security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and law enforcement personnel.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Proficient in written and verbal English; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Integrity, honesty, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
